Dr. Jennifer Kocour

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Jennifer Kocour is one of our chiropractors and the Executive Director of our team at Ogden Wellness Center. She has been in practice for 11 years here in Ogden. Dr. Jen grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa, attended the University of Nebraska where she received a degree in Exercise Sciences, with a specialization in Athletic Training. After graduating from college, she worked in a physical therapy office for six years before deciding to transition to chiropractic school. She studied chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she also taught rehab/physiotherapy labs to students attending the college. Dr. Jen loves being able to work with a diverse patient base, from babies and children to adults and the elderly. She has seen varying degrees of patient complaints from severe pain to wellness care and loves being able to help use the body’s natural ability to help heal itself. One of her favorite resources for treating patients is having access to different tools for adjustments, that allow her to help different people with different injuries, conditions, and complaints.

“One thing that I really enjoy is seeing how chiropractic changes people’s lives. Everything we experience is through the nervous system and that is what we work with, and when you can experience that fully, it changes your life.”

Dr. Joshua Phelps

Dr. Joshua Phelps, DC, FNP-C

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Josh Phelps is one of our chiropractors and a Registered Nurse, who has been in private practice for 11 years and has practiced in Ogden since 2009. He attended the University of Nebraska -Omaha, studying Exercise Science. He was also in the graduate program in Exercise Physiology, specializing in Strength and Conditioning while at the University of Nebraska.

As a former strength and conditioning coach, competitive Olympic weight lifter, and very active athlete, Dr. Josh has experienced herniated discs and excruciating back pain himself. Like many of you, he got only slightly better utilizing traditional treatments – until he found the incredible benefits of chiropractic. Experiencing relief and healing through chiropractic treatments himself, Dr. Josh decided to change course and pursue a career in chiropractic. He entered chiropractic college at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Since being in Utah he has continued his education from the Personal Injury Training Institute and earned the qualifications of Motor Vehicle Collision Occupant Injuries Certification (MVCOI). He is continuously working to increase his knowledge of how the body works and attends seminars regularly to find ways to help his patients reach their goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.

“I have a very strong passion for what I do because I want to see people succeed and do well. If someone has the simplest goal like wanting to get out of a chair without their low back hurting all day…great, that is what I want to happen for them. My intention is to give our patients the best that I have, no matter what. I like seeing the changes we make with patients over time, and seeing them become more energetic, happy, and healthier than they were when they came in the front door.”
